Dear Bjorn:

The idea of "progressive revelation" has been around a lot.

As I see it, it implies there is already something to reveal.

Look at as simple a book as HPB's KEY TO THEOSOPHY. Who among us
can claim to really KNOW it in full" I don't, but have used it
for over 50 + years. I constantly find new things in it when I
go back for a reference.

The desire for novelty is fine, but what about a strong, firm
basis ?

The only value in so called "theosophical fundamentalism" would,
to my mind be a knowledge of what was taught there. If we can
honestly say we do not have that for use, then we are indeed
struggling in a stream of inconsistencies.

If on the other hand, if we do know what Theosophy teaches, then
we may have some chance of winnowing good grain from chaff, as
THE VOICE OF THE SILENCE suggests in one place.

Perhaps you have some other view in mind ?
