My 0.02.

I have personally read a lot of CWL's books and have personally been
benefitted by them over the last several decades. In the final analysis, as
far as I am concerned, that is what counts for me. Others may disagree. I am
very grateful to him for this and his discovery of Jiddu Krishnamurti and
again I have been personally benefitted by Krishnamurti's lectures and
writings and I feel that I am more practical with a Theosophical attitude
because of him. Being one who like not to be ungrateful, I am grateful to
him as well.

Having said all this, as seen in many msgs on theos-l several months ago,
CWL subject raises a lot of hot discussions.

At the same time, with an open mind I read Tillett's book - "Elder Brother".

I had more than once asked on theos-l if *any* one has found *any* of the
facts mentioned in Tillett's book to be erroneous or inaccurate or totally
wrong. To this day, I am yet to see *any* response.

So from my personal standpoint, the problem is very simple. My point of view
is *all* important to me. Great men and women are not perfected men and
women. Along with the greatness, they also had great defects. Looked at from
this point of view, what CWL did or advocated does not bother me too much.

As I do not want to create a firestorm here, I don't plan to respond with
followup msgs.

Peace
