Answers are very simple.

Dr. Campbell and Professor Elwood, though be learned and scholarly, from a
lay man's point of view, it is just their opinions. If one wants to agree
with them it is ok. If one does not, it is also ok.

As for both Judge and Besant, the facts are very simple. Both have been
instrumental in bringing large number of people to Theosophy and thus were
benefitted by the Theosophical doctrines. Great people have great defects.
But looking at the bottom line, which is their contribution to the world at
large, is the most important thing.

Many who have been benefitted by what Judge and Besant gave to the world, do
feel a sense of gratitude as one should expect which is mark of a human being.

So this explains, from a simple man's way of looking at this question.
