private or public posts?

I'm so sorry I embarrassed you, but really you're doing a wonderful job. I
got the information and I find it very interesting. Also, I was wrong to
confuse the way the message was sent. Privately, I did receive some mail,
but I also believe "someone" I don't know who exactly, posted a request for
information RIGHT on the discussion list. I wonder why they think that was
appropriate. Didn't I ask for "private" requests or don't people know that
private messages are less intrusive to the other participants here who
aren't interested?
