Hi

Following up on Ernest's pointer to HPB Library, I want to share with you
the fascinating things that happened this morning.

I decided to call Joan Sutcliffe in Toronto, Canada but did not have the
telephone number. So I fired up by Internet browser and went to
www.nynex.com and found that they have not only yellow pages of USA but many
other countries as well. So I picked Canada and searched for Joan Sutcliffe
and could not find any phone listed. Then tried J Sutcliffe with no success.
Then just searched for Sutcliffe and found A. Sutcliffe listed at the 284
Street address and I called the listed telephone number and spoke to her.
When I told her about getting a copy of the Pamphlet she immediately
volunteered to send me a copy without any prepayment (it is very very
unusual for even Theosophists to mail anything without prepayment, at least
it has been my experience so far) and we talked about Cleather who was pupil
of HPB. Cleather had published two other books -- one an account of her
reminiscences of HPB and other published during the time when Besant and CWL
controversies went on. All of these she is mailing me without prepayment. Of
course I am now mailing her a check. It is fascinating what you could
accomplish with modern means of communication as compared to snailmail still
favorite of some old timers.

When these books arrive, I plan to put the pamphlet info on Internet. Due to
the complaints of some here, I am wondering whether I should post it on theos-l.

Will let you all know.

Thanks again to Ernest for his help.
