Erring messengers

There are inconsistencies and errors in most (or all) revelations, as recorded by embodied
individuals. HPB goofed many times, being unable to get it "straight" due to stress, disease or
emotion. Nevertheless the adepts continued to work with her and support her. Leadbeater had a
remarkable faculty of clairvoyance but sometimes seems to have been a bit carried away. The Ballards -
same thing. I am aware of some statements in the I AM books that just doesn't seem to make sense,
considering what we know today. I am sure it is going to continue this way. The personality and
"programming" of the messenger is always going to interfere, to some degree, with the accuracy of the
message. To judge the validity of the whole body of teachings based on a percentage of error can be a
tragic error indeed on part of the student. Naturally, the basic structure of the teachings needs to
be sound and make sense. In addition to that it is a matter of vibration. Ultimate truth is not found
in the wording of sentences. Two authors can write identical sentences - one can convey truth and
another lie (an extreme but possible example). It is only in our attunement with truth that we can
know truth.
