Yes it seems the Colonel's healing ability hit him all of a sudden. I seem
to remember it was in response to reports that some Christian missionaries
were in indulging in some healing of their own. Not to be outdone the
Colonel hopped right into action!- with some success.

Now Dallas, I haven't been stung by a scorpion- bees, wasps, bull-ants,
yes- but not those big nasty Indian scorpions . From what I read the pain
may be ten nay twenty times as bad. A small child could die.
If confronted by this situation, are you going to tell me that you wouldn't
at least give this "hair brained" method a go? Remember Olcott cites
numberless cures, by, one can assume, numberless people.

Maybe you'd need to sit on one first to establish empathy.

I would agree with you particularly on the issue of money changing hands,
as it does with the current fad Reiki. Karmically these people are buying
diseases from their patients. I've seen this personally in followers of
this method.

The whole subject of spiritual healing is a long and complicated one, I'll
not continue any further here.
Cordially,
Bruce
