Dear Sophia:
Many thanks for your response. Once again I cannot argue with anything
you say and once again I think it is only a matter of personal
interpretation, semantics and expression.

And also past experience. When I was young, I lived in a tied cottage
in the remnants of a feudal system in which I was told to incline my
head (having no cap to doff) each time I passed the landowner who
basically owned me and my family. In my short lifetime so far I have
been fortunate and stressed sometimes to deal with the leap from that to
enormous freedom. I'm a little touchy about freedom, duty and the
like!!! :)

I think also that what you express brings in the concept of what is
traditionally called "worship", and that of "unconditional love".
Both of which I have chosen to start from scratch to understand, develop
and practice. So I'm a real novice.
Doesn't stop me from commenting though.
Best to you.
