Most of us are afraid of trying.
Any helpful act has to produce
results, not generally results
we may want or desire.

In my own life, I may not see
any direct relationship between
a specific act of mine and many results
that may or may not be related
life seem to tend to go much
more peacefully and joyfully
and with less impediments.

As you say, giving it a try is the
best advise. Try is to succeed, as
a great man said repeatedly.
