As I recall that "air-tight" phenomenon was the suggestion that an issue of
the London TIMES be precipitated in India (Simla ?) on its day of
publication.   The normal mail time transfer to India was about a month to
6 weeks later.  It was this that the Adepts refused to do.

Of course today with our electronic and Internet facilities that would be
easy.  I have wondered if the Adepts anticipated with their knowledge of
Karma and its developments that by our time such an event would be possible
and even commonplace.

HPB in ISIS gives a number of accounts of marvelous historically recorded
"phenomena" -- as witnessed by the English Ambassadors at the court of the
emperor Jehanghir in old Delhi, and several others as the event of a
"tulku" performed to illustrate its possibility to a skeptic.  I have often
wondered what the ultimate effect of those "wonders" was not only on those
present, but later on readers, and what effect these stories have had on
the mind of our present generation.

I also agree with you that the nature of our work and presence is the
diffusion of accurate information -- to the extent that we try to be
accurate and honest in what we present.  I have been rereading the early
pages of the S D and there is so much there that is thought provoking.

Perhaps we ought to establish a section of our discussion work to look into
the
interesting and important statements that HPB makes there.  What do we
think of that ?  Or, if the SD sound too difficult, choose some other one
of the fundamental texts from which our knowledge of Theosophy was
primarily derived -- maybe the KEY or the VOICE, or ISIS UNVEILED ?  Ideas
?
