There is a very high cost of subscription of an irreplacable resource:
time. Everybody has a limited amount of time. In general, people try to spend
their time where it will do the most good. Therefore, it is reasonable to
assume that the TS officials feel that the good they can do on these lists
does not justify the amount of time they would have to spend on these lists.

Having paid some heavy prices for trying to post correct info on these
lists, I am not surprised. From my own experience, if a TSA official went
through the trouble to post the correct info, the following would happen:

    1) They would be accused of being liars.
    2) They would be accused of being facists.
    3) They would be called to task on every single detail, yet if they asked
for evidence towards the accusations, they would be either ignored, or
answered with, "Everybody knows it", or, "I'm not the one defending myself
here".
    4) If they gave irrefutable evidence, the issue would drop silently, with
virtually nobody saying, "I guess you're right", and the complainers would
choose a new issue to start complaining about.
    5) 6 months later the same incorrect info would be posted again, as if the
TSA officials had never done anything.
