Very interesting book. It jumped off a shelf at one of the conventions
and it wouldn't stay on the shelf so I eventually borrowed it and read
it. I am dubious about some things in it but it still makes a good
read for anyone who likes huge books.

=46rom personal experience, I find channeling a bit like radio
talk-backs. There is a slight time lag between the inner talk and the
audible talk. I found that if something was to be said that I did not
wish to say then there seemed to be a quick casting about for a
different way of saying the same thing. Sometimes I felt that the
advise was too abrupt and I would not let it be spoken so a softer way
with words was used and all was well. It was a useful experience for a
year or two but I have not continued it as I felt that it no longer
served my purposes. I am aware that Theosophy does not approve of such
things but I experimented with this aspect while I was President of a
branch but did not make it known or obvious to the branch that I was
into channeling at the time.=20
It has made me aware of inner communication that still comes to me in
times of need or conflict. I wake at 3am and I have an inner chat with
an energy that refers to itself as the elder brother and it makes
suggestions but never dictates or tells me what I should do. Just asks
if I have thought of this or that and then leaves me to think about
it. Usually there is an influence that helps the thinking process to
see things clearly and without too much emotional feelings getting in
the way.
I feel that mediumship is passive rather than interactive. I would not
be a medium as I like to have some control over what I get into. At
this stage I do not actually know what it is that I channel. It could
be some part of my own self or some other influence but as long as it
was sensible, I was prepared to do it. What HPB has to say about
mediums does not make me at all keen to get involved in that line.
That a little bit from me.
Cheers
