I think there is a lot of idolatry of HPB going on (*not* particurlarly
addressing Dallas here). This, of course is a personal matter, but I think that
this idolatrous sense is an obstacle on our path (again, I am only using Dallas
comments as an excuse to take off on this). Their is this fixation on
personalities that's been the curse of the TS and many other movements
throughout history. All these discussions about the petty human foibles of this
or that person who served in the organization. For example, when CWL is
discussed I see this tremendous condemnation going on, very seldom are his
writings analyzed. And if they are, typically it will go so far as to his
lunatic ideas about Mars. I think the fixation on personalities is hindering
us from assimilating and becoming the message that God has delivered through his
various (usually imperfect) channels.
