Dear Alan:
Thanks for the info.  I was not aware of this change in UK tenancy
laws.  That's really hard for you guys as many more people in UK are
renting both private and subsidized housing as it has always been an
acceptable alternative to buying property and, like most humans, one
doesn't expect such rapid and drastic change.
I like to keep abreast of UK as I have a standing promise to return
should my aging immediate family require assistance.

That's how it feels, Alan, but really it's simply a changing of the
rules to appease whatever faction of the tax paying public is currently
the most vociferous and powerful.
