The Big Nobodaddy

As it says in "The Mahamat Letters" somewhere,
"they have found no evidence of a God anywhere..."
Equally one can look at nature and see no God, that
cannot be explained more rationally in other ways.
What I wonder.... is whether people have asked
themselves, and what is the reason that there is this
powerful drive in people to believe in a Personal God. It is
such a freedom not to have to rationalize and support the
idea. It is like a pet dog I know of, for analogy purposes.
It has been chained all its life and will not leave the length
of its chain when it is even unhooked.

ANNETTE: Like you say... men have really messed things
up, but if things were the other way around and we were
in a matriarchial society from some science-fiction story - I
bet things would still be messed up, but in a different type
of way.
