Even now the word "guru" in many theosophical lodges is
ridiculed and lampooned, the real "guru" being, we are
solemnly told, the Higher Self (if one can access it).
What these theosophical pundits neglect to say is that
a flesh-and-blood guru can often help us to do that very thing.
