I have been reading with interest the debate on Theosophical History. Or
more to the point the histories of the various sects of Theosophy. Many a
mention is made of certian individuals who try to decide what is best for
all other Theosophists - and this in regards, mainly to which path is to be
taken.

Now I am a novice , albeit initiated, and still don't understand why any of
the 7 paths should have any more or less moral value than any other. The
main problem seems to be what people on this list refer to under various
names as the left-hand path, black magic, sex magic, Tantric Buddhism etc.
and the Herbal Ayurvedic Path ie ingestion of Soma (there are 12 plants
that represent Soma). I reached Samadhi 3 times in my life - all through
the proceeding methods. I do not consider myself evil, or selfish or a
Black Magician. As a matter of fact the more I learn, read and experience
the more I realise just how fundamentally outdated the dogma's of the TS,
ULT etc and it's Western Members are.

My TS membership renewal came last week, but I have decided that it's
pretty much a waste of time and I can see myself being drawn more to the
SENSIBLE and LOGICAL writings of Alastair Crowley, Aldous Huxley and
Richard Alpert (Ram Dass). I was in Bangalore 2 years ago and witnessed Sai
Baba smoking Hashish. HPB smoked it as well and although I know little of
the ES, I'm willing to bet all the secrecy is just becuase they are
consuming what the west considers illegal drugs.

I am also aware that there is an unwritten rule regarding my posts and that
is 'just ignore him and he will go away'. You all seem to question what
motivation I would use to post information on drugs and spirituality - it's
simple - I want to change the world for the better. And although this is an
impossible task - to deny hope is to deny the spirit.

I know everything in that I know that I know nothing and knowing this is
all the knowledge that is required. As an Immortal being my only concern is
NOVELTY. Eternity gets boring even in Samadhi - Why do you think we have
Maya?

What I'm trying to say is this. You don't have to meditate for 30 years, or
sit in a cave eating seeds and whipping your back with nettles, or spin on
the spot for hours like the dervishes, or have Gestalt therapy - You can
imbibe a sacred plant under the right conditions with an appropriate and
experienced guide and depending on how much baggage you have to work
through - the higher states are yours for the taking. Anyone over 30 seems
to have as John c Lilly Puts it "built in Anti-Satori programming" - my
generation does not. Our Eleusinian mysteries are our Saturday night Dance
Parties - When 500 people on a dance floor move to the shamanic like drum
beats and take Purple Oms - I can say that there truly is no other
contemporary spiritual experience like it. We are connected we become ONE.

Samadhi is but the quenching of all fires.

As a young theosophist (one of very very few), I am indebted to HPB for
ushering in the New Age, but as she says herself, We only have 5 keys and 2
more will come with new races (generations) - I beleive we are developing
one now and it relates to the information transfer amongst nodes of the
unity consciousness. As temperature increases information is lost - as
temperature decreses energy is transformed into information.
There is only energy and information and they are the same thing. All
energy is potential and vibration.

Ok thats enough now.

Bye

Darren (but I'm thinking of just calling myself D)

PS The move Holy Man (Eddie Murphy) was interesting look at Western
Spirituality inside the capitalist framework. His character was just called G.
