All events are Karmic. They are designed to draw our attention
to something we have overlooked. Both pain and pleasure are our
teachers, but pleasure is usually taken a our due and not
inquired into. Pain is often taken to be tyrannical and not our
due. But we ought to give all events deep consideration if we
would learn from the panorama of life.

The Buddha recommended developing detachment - not to be cold to
anyone at all, but to be able to look at ourselves objectively
and as a friend would consider what was the problem and help to
solve it.

If an "accident" occurs - unforeseen and unprovoked - indeed it
might be karma from a "past life" that comes to strike us.

As I see it Theosophy tries to indicate to us that we are
immortals, and that justice and fairness to all beings rules the
Universe and our Earth. This is the law of Karma, of which we
know so little.

To wish ill to anyone is to draw into our living sphere of
impressions the Karma of confusion, hatred, and prejudice which
already is too strong and surrounds us all diverting us all from
sane, impersonal judgment.

Each one sows and reaps his own Karma. We ought to focus on ours
and let others work on theirs - also have confidence that the
Laws of karma in nature are unerring and will handle the problems
that others create. None of us are asked to take the law into
our own hands and administer what we conceive to be "justice."
Suppose that someone else became an arbiter of your fate, and
knew your innermost thoughts and all your past deeds - how many
of us could stand to have our secret lives exposed ?

There was great wisdom in Jesus' saying: "Let him who is without
sin throw the first stone."

WE ought to bring together some of the wonderful statements about
karma so we can all consider what we are involved in.
