Politics is a Man made process for the sole purpose of manipulating Man made
governmental structures based on elitist principles, and has no relationship
to theosophy. Theosophy holds that once humanity can "realize" and understand
that "Universal Brotherhood is a law of nature", can utilize the "psychic
powers latent in man" for constructive purposes, can "practice altruism", and
therefore, can govern themselves responsibly under the three fundamental
principles and in accord with ALL of nature--there will be no need for either
'governments' or 'politics'.

In the meantime, politics is a necessary evil, forced on us by faulty
governmental structures that can never be consistent with theosophical
principles--except, perhaps, in theory. Witness the so called "democratic"
capitalist and communist governments we have today based ostensibly on the
theoretical (and theosophical) idea that "ALL men are created equal, and
entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." The other part of
this unfulfilled "dream" is "self-government". Where's the necessity for
"politics" in all that?

There are only three types of organized governments possible. . . All,
fraught with politics or intrigue, and all fundamentally evil--since each of
them must act in promoting their own agendas to curtail mankind's "liberty",
take control of their lives, and interfere with their individual pursuits of
happiness--by placing them in bondage to an artificial and unnatural, elitist
controlled, so called, "order" of one kind or another. One is Theocracy,
another is Monarchy, and the third is Fascism (whether they call it
Capitalism, Socialism, Nazism, or Communism). None of them are either
democratic, philosophical or theosophical.

The words, "theosophical political system" is, therefore, an oxymoron of the
first order, and should have no place in any discussion of pure theosophy.

Respectfully,

Leon Maurer
