The term "legacy" should have been prefaced by the word "valuable",
"beneficient", or something simliar to have given a clearer meaning,
perhaps.

Membership numbers, i.e. quantity, have no inherent claim to value/quality.
Neither does "influence" necessarily indicate beneficient motive/action
(Hitler being an example).

In what respect have any of today's "magical and occult schools" aided
Humanity as a WHOLE?  Read "The Key to Theosophy", pages 20 -27 etc,
facsimile edition.
