RE: Theos-World A Bridge

Dear Jerry:

There are a million (or more) ifs, ands and buts. I am trying to
simplify and not to account for the innumerable personal quirks. what
is the IDEAL ? Once that is at hand, then we may be able to handle
the deviations. Is that possible ?

Subject: Theos-World A Bridge

<<If we can think about it, then have we not to some extent
constructed a "bridge" that unites our present embodied mind with
the UNIVERSAL MIND it is of course a portion) ? Is the fact that
we do think about IT evidence of ITS existence as a focus for
ourselves ? Is this then, not a proof (to ourselves-as we cannot
prove these things to others) of our own immortality and
universality?

I agree with you here. Our mental construct can serve as a bridge, and
this is one important preparation that we all need to do. But crossing
that bridge to actually experience what is on the other side is, I
think
a different thing because we have to leave our humanity or humanness
or
mortality and thus logic and reason, behind. Fortuneately we are more
than human.

As to "proof" I wonder if just building a bridge is enough. The other
side of that bridge is still taken on faith until we actually cross
over
on it. But experience on the other side, of spirituality, even for a
second, is usually proof enough, yes. But not always. If done
unprepared, the experience may be interpreted as a pathology or
chemical
imbalance in the brain. Thats why building the bridge as a mental
construct is an important preparation for the experience itself.
