Going back to early days of TS, a review of HPB's actions in addition to
enormous writings, I recall that every evening after a long days work of
writing SD, she used to chit chat -- not talk about theosophy or nor there
is any mention of meditations etc. I think that the general trend toward
emphasis on meditation and work on higher planes, trying to become a chela
or Adept etc. with corresponding downplaying of work that can and should be
down on earth may be a contributive factor in the slow decline in the
membership of all TS organizations.

So your approach is like what many have taken in the past as well as taking
today.
