Theos-World contents of BLAVATSKY'S SECRET BOOKS

My copy having arrived, here is an outline of the 14 chapters in it. It
is chronologically arranged, the first article was written in 1979 --
thus the subtitle of the book "Twenty Years' Research". "Quest for the
Lost Language of the Initiates" is David Reigle's first article. It was
written after he and Nancy returned from a trip to India. There are two
chapters on the Books of Kiu-te and four on the Book of Dzyan. Two of
the latter chapters discuss the technical terms in Stanzas I & II of the
SD. Nancy has one chapter comparing the VOICE OF THE SILENCE with the
BODHISATTVA PATH by Shantideva. Master M. Cosmological Notes are
commented on in another article. There are two more chapters on
Buddhist philosophy and Theosophy. THE SECRET DOCTRINE is the subject
of a paper; as are Tibetan & Sanskrit MS in another one. David went to
Nepal to research some interesting clues regarding the VOICE, this
adventure is the subject of one chapter.

There is much to ponder on in the often complex subjects treated of .
The amount of Sanskrit & Tibetan terms (transliterated mostly) and deep
Eastern philosophy require close attention and study.

There is also an Introduction "Why Take Blavatsky Seriously?" and a
brief preface to each chapter. Nearly every article has been revised --
a little or a lot. Two or three of the articles have never been
published before.

A worthwhile book indeed!
