Theos-World Meeting Inquirers

Aug 28, 1999 08:36 AM

I think we share the same overall theosophic goals and principles Dallas,
... I really do... What bothers me sometimes is that when we meet inquirers
nowadays who want to know more about theosophy do we simply give them the
Secret Doctrine to read over night? Do we have them enter a class that
reviews the seven races of man or understanding the etheric body?

My suggestion is we find out more about the seeker first... get to know
them... introduce a few ideas and see if they have similar ones then
proceed from there. Otherwise, most will be totally lost and will be turned
off. There's something wrong I think in the approach of the official study
group with its structure and requirements.

I think this discussion is just that... a discussion... no one is going to
lose anything by sharing ideas even if they come from strange sources. -
