subject: different views from different windows?

Dallas, as I was reading your post

and EVIL -- KARMA

I was thinking that what if we're all looking at the same
landscape, but from different widows, seeing different
portions of the same landscape? Or is it more simplexic than
that?
DTB	The landscape might be identical, but a poet, a musician, a
scientist , a politician, an educated man, and a peasant could
all be simultaneously looking at it and reflecting on it, each
from the point of view of their particular training, and
interest.
What could be done to unify that? Nothing really, as all
universals and impersonal view points have to be generated freely
within the consciousness of each one of the audience. Now also
consider what would be a good reason for imposing some kind of
uniformity? The only one that I can think of is the need for
them to exchange opinions and views among themselves. And if it
so happens that this particular group have been drawn from
distant parts of the Earth, linguistic barriers ought to be also
considered.
I am not multiplying problems but simply saying that the MOTIVE
for such a situation would be important. Are all there to learn
a lesson? If so what might it be. Individually the lessons
might clash. Is there some long-term view to be considered?
When, separating and returning to their own places, will they
take some lesson with them? Of what value in the ultimate and
evolutionary sense are such conferences -- and they occur daily?
Is it to unify and elevate the minds an aspirations of mankind?
If that is absent, then the result is far less valuable than it
might be.
=======================

For example, imagine an elaborate castle with many turrets,
walls, structures having all sorts of windows facing in various
directions, so that, even though the landscape around the
castle is the same, the people at those various windows all
see different portions of that landscape, portions of which
could be partially or totally hidden by trees, towers, walls,
and the direction that particular windows are facing.

I wonder if that's the sort of thing that's going on here? How
can we agree on some of the simplexic basics if some of us
are looking out on different views of the landscape?

I suspect that those different views are all Karmic results that
ought to be regarded as opportunities that, if addressed
in Karmically relevant-enough ways, can lead to
more-advanced forms of Karmic opportunities, etc.: that
process leading one toward more and more Overviews, or, in
theosophic terms, leading one toward ____________
whatever the correct theosophic terminology might be:
Atma/Buddhi, Moksa/Nirvana, Knowledge/Wisdom?
----------------------------

DTB	quite right -- are these not leads into the province of
MOTIVE. Why does one do anything? What can one learn from ay
experience ?

DTB	suppose one is singled out to be a teacher or a
representative for a local group and he or she is given the task
of learning from the experiences of others -- with a view to
local application -- the sensory input is to be processed with a
view to adding to already existent conditions. Then we would
inquire into the universality of experience. We would also ask
if it can be made beneficial for the Local groups, or if there
could be an exchange of knowledge and ideas ... and so on.
As I see it your questions are useful in devising reasons,
subjects, benefits that might be derived from such a concept. I
would say that if a theosophist is consulted, he would focus on
the motive for such an assembly and try to optimize the positive
results that might emerge from such a meeting and situation.
As I see it this is the way in which each of us grows in personal
responsibility and duties of benefit for the whole of NATURE.
Anything else is very selfish.
Best wishes,

Dallas

Something like that?
