You are right. After John Coats died, when Rukmini Devi Arundale ran for the office, Radha Burnier was asked (according to published reports) by Krishnaji to run. Rukmini is the *wife* of George Arundale, the International President who succeeded Annie Besant. She is also the *sister* of N. Sri Ram, the International President who succeeded C Jinarajadasa.

The fact is that the suggestion came from Krishnaji almost 25 years ago. I do not know what his judgement would be on the leadership were he to be alive today.

Still, the fundamental issue that is going to be important is not what has taken place in the past, but what is ahead. Where is the organization heading and how are the messages going to be presented so that it arrests the attention of the current and upcoming generations of thinking public. Complete lack of any discussion on these issues, to the best of my knowledge, in the national and international level makes one wonder if the organization is going to lose all public interest since all the classics are available for free on the internet.

Before she was elected to the post the first time, Krishnamurti had a
talk with her, and persuaded her to run for that office.

The story is in one of the Krishnamurti biographies. I don't recall
which. Perhaps someone who was closer to Krishnamurti recalls where
the reference is?
