Dear Marylin:

Many thanks. I write and write and always enjoy hearing a
response that may resolve into a good series of questions as we
all learn from each other.

To save a little time, will you allow me to insert some comments
in the body of your letter?

See below.

Thanks, and best wishes,

Dallas

Dal....

Your comments from June 12, 2001, to Alan were very well stated,
esp....
Paragraph 2, "Perhaps we could say we are a miniature Universe in
ourselves
and our capabilities."

and the last paragraph,

"This is a breaking point
... so I mention this barrier - established by Nature (the
Universe) in its
wisdom - as it encompasses and guides and directs us all."

Your comments are appreciated and agreed with. The two
aforementioned
references really 'rang true' with the subtly of a thunderbolt.

If I can take this opportunity to add my interpretations to your
two??

In paragraph 2, in the recognition of basic principles: a) the
Absolute
cannot be comprehended with the finite mind but in part must be
accepted in
blind faith,

DTB	I do not like the implications of "blind faith." It implies
the mind cannot encompass a logical or reasonable fact. If it is
not a fact, then the sooner we reject it and put it out of our
calculations and thought-vocabulary, the better.

We are MIND-BEINGS. The Eternal Monad - the REAL "WE" is an
eternally compounded SPIRIT/MATTER (Atma-Buddhi) unit. Size is
of no matter, as every Monad mirrors all its brothers in the
Universe -which known not the limits we place (with finite minds)
on Space, Time and Motion.

Can we not say that when we look for the CAUSE of the MONAD(S)
we, using our limited vision in this environment, can only
surmise that KARMA is ever-operating. If so then there are the
KNOWERS OF KARMA, and behind those are the true BUILDERS OF THE
ILLIMITABLE AND TIMELESS KOSMOS.

This is mind-stretch. Further may we not envisage a universal
SUBSTANCE which is neither differentiated SPIRIT nor is it
PRIMORDIAL MATTER - but is the SOURCE (perhaps as a FORCE) that
is ever balanced, just, equipoised, generous, virtuous,
compassionate, sensitive, and certainly NOT limited by our
concerns or the limits of the matter and motions that we know.
This, I think take it out of the realm of "blind faith" into the
field of "reasoned certainty."

b) as above, so below, humans are minute manisfestations of
the Absolute and therefore, complete within themselves, except
again it is
not recognized as such,

DTB	Again let us view the realm of molecules and atoms. Atoms
have no physical substance, and as force-fields they are so
immaterial that they barely leave a trace of their existence in
our instrumentation. When several atoms conjoin (under Karma) to
form molecules their conjoined Monadic elements construct an
individual Mind (still under Karma) and as this voyages through
eternity the advanced Monad tutors those that have less
experience (S.D. I 632-4) and aggregate around it, hoping to be
helped to learn. Look up in the T. Glossary SUDDHA-SATTVA p.
311; SD I 522, 617

Yes we are all part of the ABSOLUTE. That is a given. But for
us to be alive and conscious in a LIMITED UNIVERSE is a matter
for deep and continued study. It is not only What and Who are
we, but more important, What are our relations with others as
well as with the UNIVERSE. Next: where are we going ? And what
powers and knowledge do we already possess? How is the Mind to
be directed? What is meditation ? How should we compare our
conclusions and decide which are valid? What criteria shall we
use ?

and c) humanity must adhere to our destiny of
evolution and the Brotherhood (another words, act appropriate
with one's
position!).

Your last paragraph, summed it up in essence. Nature's Laws
protect
humanity from itself in erecting a wall that the profane cannot
penetrate
(being responsible for the Secrets). This can also be viewed as
a
self-preservation technique if a person stretches their
imagination.

DTB	Since there is danger in having information and no
corresponding MORAL or ETHICAL balance ( the two together, as a
rigorous discipline provide WISDOM ) Nature keeps her secrets
from the unwary and the unwise. Many think they are worthy of
being entrusted with powers, but in their inner nature they fully
intend to use them for selfish ends of various kinds.

This makes the whole difference between INDIVIDUALITY and
Personality. The Personality unless ruled by the Mind for the
good of all, allows the Kamic principle t run riot and create
atrocities.

Marilyn :)

BEST WISHES,

Dallas
