John:
Dora Kunz, herself clairvoyant, at a lecture here in Denver about 5 years
ago, said he was clairvoyant. But we (Adyar) don't believe that
clairvoyance makes one an adept. I also now realize we have a difference in
terminology. For us, a Master is an Adept who accepts chelas.

Frank:
Yes, it seems to be an important point that the different theosophical
lineages uses all the same words, but have a different meaning. It seems
best to make this clear to reduce misunderstandings.
Although that kind of clairvoyance which was promoted by Besant & Leadbeater
is not an ability for which one shouls strife for, as it helps not to
develop higher occult power, but rather prevents one, real clairvoyance and
not psychic adventures into the lower astral world marks a white adept.
But as the term adept is without qualification and means only that one is
skilled in any domain it is not wrong to say that a clairvoyant is an
adept.

The interpretation that a Master in as Adept who accepts chelas is somewhat
confusing to me as it seems that an Adept is is higher then a Master in the
Adyar sheme according to you. We (Point Loma) would not accept that, as an
Adept may be skilled in a occult domain, but that does not mean that he has
mastered it. Furthermore I understand your statement in that way that you
mean that only Masters have chelas -- and what about Adepts? They have no
chelas?
What about - say HPB? Wasn't she an Adept for herself? She has had chelas.
What about Judge? Wasn't he an Adept? (Perhaps not for Adyar, but for Point
Loma, Pasadena and ULT) And he has had chelas. And what about T. Subba Ow?
Wasn't he an Adept? And he has had chelas.

It is interesting to see what comes out if a misunderstanding of such a
likewise minor teaching is generated over decades. That helps me better to
have a rationale why in the Adyar sheme Count St. Germain was made a Master
(although he actually was an Adept) and why I hear (falling from the sofa)
in a HPB video Leslie Price say that HPB was a Master!!!! (sic) Confusion
over confusion with this Besant/Leadbeater poppycock.

John:
"After their arrival at the TS Headquarters Leadbeater's disapproval of
the activities of Arundale and his followers became more apparent." ...
"An open fight was developing between the Wedgewood-Arundale faction and
Leadbeater, and this was kept out of the public arena only out of respect
for Mrs Besant" ... "Leadbeater was most concerned not to engage in open
argument ... and was worried about the effect of the simmering conflict on
Mrs Besant." ... "At one meeting a long message was read out by Arundale
supposedly originating from the Lord Maitreya. Leadbeater listened to it
carefully and then said, 'May I ask who wrote down this message as it is
not, of course, at all the style in which the Lord speaks.' " ... "By the
end of 1926 the party at Adyar had broken up. Leadbeater returned to Sydney
at the end of January taking Arundale and Rukmini with him. Lady Emily
suggested this was 'to knock some sense into him' since Leadbeater had 'an
even more forceful personality than George.' "

Frank:
One should know that there was an "occult contradiction" (as Jinarajada has
it) between AB & CWL. AB was in attempt to kick Wedgewood out of the TS
because she was convinced that he is a liar and a child abuser. But CWL at
the same time made in Australia the public statement, that Wegdewood what "a
high initiate". Jinarajada was concerned that the two "highest occult
authorities" (he meant AB & CWL) are in contradiction and wrote a letter
what he should do as more and

John:
PS to Gregory Tillett, if you are reading this. I can promise you one sale
when you finish your adept books. I'd buy it today if it was available. I
refer quite a bit to "The Elder Brother" A definite anti-Leadbeater slant
at times, but also a wealth of information. Thank you.

Frank:
I'll order it, too.
