Mme. David-Neel was a Theosophist, and stayed at Theosophy hostels
whenever she could.

I don't read French, so I don't know what that title would translate
into.

Dover Publications has two of Mme. D-N's books in print.
www.doverpublications.com

INITIATIONS AND INITIATES IN TIBET, and MAGIC AND MYSTERY IN TIBET.

They are very interesting accounts of her travels in Tibet in the
early 1900s.

There is also a biography of Mme. David-Neel, from Shambhala
Publications, which may be out of print by now.
