There were a BUNCH of songs which were RECOMMENDED not be played
(including things like Joan Jett's HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT, Queen's
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST, Elvis Presley's YOU'RE THE DEVIL IN
DISGUISE. Perhaps the reason why IMAGINE was on the list was that it was
based on Communist literature (not in itself so bad) describing the
world that would come after the old world was destroyed by promoting
hatred between groups until they destroy themselves (which IS in itself
so bad).

Instead, you would require a private citizen to use their personal
resources to promote ideas in which they may not believe?
