Brigitte, you are VERY GOOD at diverting attention from the issue under review

Dear Brigitte,

In your latest posting:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/4639

you are VERY GOOD at diverting attention from the
issue under review [e.g. the quality of scholarship of
Johnson's books as reflected in the accuracy, etc. of
Johnson's research/statements] to ad hominem side
issues.

You did something quite similar to this when you
distracted attention from what Dr. French and Dr.
Tillett had written about YOUR USE of Dr. French's
dissertation. You diverted attention by calling Dr.
French names and by suggesting that Dr. Tillett was
some priest of some group.

What any of that ad hominem stuff had to do with what
Dr. French and Dr. Tillett had written about YOUR USE
of the French dissertation I will leave for others to
divine. As far as I can tell, it was a tactic of
yours to divert attention from the central issue.

Brigitte, are you afraid for other readers to "compare
notes and hear both sides" of an issue?

I urge people especially Blavatsky students to read
Johnson's books but I also urge them to compare and
contrast, too. And by all means readers should study
Deveney's books and the book by Godwin. But they
should not stop there. They should carefully compare
and contrast what is said in these books with other
sources.

Instead, like Johnson has done before, you bring up ad
hominem side issues that are not relevant to the
historical points addressed in my essays and in that
of Pratt.

Is this tactic of yours used by other scholars? I
hope not!!
