In a message dated 02-02-11 17:57:35 EST, you write:

<< I'm sure many of those fine Iranian
athletes do NOT support terrorism and the remarks make by the newscaster
were entirely out of line. >>

Newsfolk are human too, much as they may like to disguise it.

I have a good friend, a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. He does political
and financial stuff and because he was familiar with the area in the New York
that got hit (at least he was before Uncle Osama's Paradise Fliers urban
renewed it) the Tribune put him, another reporter, and a photographer in a
car that afternoon to drive to New York and cover the story.

Now, he is not a war correspondent. He was not equipped for the sight, or
the smell, of the area and I cannot repeat what he told me that will never
see print. They kept him there a week and rotated him out. A week after
that he had sobered up enough to talk to me about it (all the print folk
there were stewed to the gills. It was the only way they could deal with
it.) And he will hate muslims to the day he dies.

And nothing anyone says will ever talk him out of it.
