an interesting moment in time

Here's something of minor interest that someone
forwarded to me at work.

For those of you who get a kick out of such occurrences.... And
for those portions of the world where the date format is dd/mm...
and time format is the military time format....

8:02 PM on Feb 20, 2002 will be a historic moment in time.... As
the clock ticks over from 8:01 PM on Wednesday, Feb 20 - for 60
seconds time will read in perfect symmetry 2002 2002 2002 or
20:02, 20/02, 2002. The last occasion that time read in such a
symmetric pattern was long before the days of the digital watch
and the 24 hour clock - at 10:01 AM on Jan 10, 1001. And because
the clock goes only up to 23:59, it is something that will never
happen again. (Now - please don't spoil the fun of the moment by
saying that there is similar symmetry in 2001 2001 2001 or 2003
2003 2003 .... - it is just not the same because it involves
more than one non-zero digit...). May not be as poignant as the
11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month which marks Armistice
Day or as funny as CV referring to his child born on Oct 01, 2001
(10/01/01) as a 'binary baby'... but significant all the
same....

Ramesh.
