Out-of-Body Experiences: Balanced Treatments of the subject

Mar 12, 2002 07:23 PM
by Daniel Caldwell

Brigitte Muehlegger has given a very one-sided and
fragmentary commentary on the subject of out-of-body
experiences.

For readers who would like to read thoughtful and
balanced overviews of the subject, I recommend the
following two books:

(1) Death and Personal Survival
by Robert F. Almeder
Published 1992
See chapter titled:
""Out-of-Body Experiences," pp. 163-201.
An excellent treatment dealing with all sides of the
subject.

(2) Parapsychology, Philosophy, and Spirituality
by David Ray Griffin
Published 1997
See chapter titled:
"Evidence from Out-Of-Body Experiences," pp. 229-268.
Author deals in great detail with the extrasomatic and
intrasomatic hypotheses concerning OBEs.

Both titles are availabe in paperback from Amazon.com

their right value; and unless a judge compares notes and
hears both sides he can hardly come to a correct decision."
