When I mention alternatives, I am not talking about alternative methods
of protest; I am talking about alternative methods of reducing poverty
and starvation in India.

Blavatsky wrote that, while individual Theosophists should certainly
work for the good as they see it, the Theosophical Society itself should
only get involved in politics in the role of increasing the level of
understanding between opposing parties. That is why Radha wrote the
letter through the Theosophical Order of Service rather than the
Theosophical Society proper.

Have you ever seen an animal starving to death? Not a pretty sight.
While some animals do get enough to eat, many, many do not. With people,
we try to help rather than let them starve to death. Silly us, going
against the advice of the one called "Christ."
