Dear Christina:

The relation of sound, words, colors and vibrations is an important
one. It seems our physical senses are duplicated in the astral body.
Actually the sound and light vibrations follow a many-fold set of
correlated patterns, and according to modern physics there is a
continuous pattern to be found (something like a rainbow) whereby
starting with sound, and proceeding to light there are other
vibrations that go way beyond the light vibrations.

Here is a useful quotation:

"...an adept may be compared to that one key which contains all the
keys in the great harmony of nature. He has the synthesis of all keys
in his thoughts, whereas the ordinary man has the same key as a basis,
but only acts and thinks on one or a few changes of this great key,
producing in his brain only a few chords out of the whole great
possible harmony...the brain of the chela is attuned by training to
the brain of the Master. His vibrations synchronize with those of the
Adept...so the chela's brain is abnormal...the adept sees all the
colors in every color and yet does not confuse them together...the
highest adepts [have raised their vibrations so as to have them the
same as those of nature as a whole]...He can produce a sound which
will alter a color. It is the sound which produces the color, and not
the other or opposite. By correlating the vibrations of a sound in
the proper way a new color is made...on the astral plane every sound
always produces a color...these are invisible because not yet
correlated by the human brain so as to become visible on the earth
plane....His astral senses may see the true color, but the physical
eye has its own vibrations, and these, being on the outer plane,
overcome the others for the time, and the astral man is compelled to
report to the brain that it saw correctly. For in each case the outer
stimulus is sent to the inner man, who then is forced, as it were, to
accept the message and to confirm it for the time so far as it goes.
But there are cases where the inner man is able to even then overcome
the outer defect and to make the brain see the difference...."	WQJ

Some have senses that are more acute than others and they can trace
those patterns and see or hear that which for some others are silence.
[ see S D I 554, 563, 514fn, 307
S D II 628, ] In the U L T Series of 3 volumes of H P B's Articles
you will find that there are references to sound and color in Vol I
424, 297, Vol. II 16, 47-8, 52-6, 59-61, 102, 168-9, 413-7, 477,
480-3, Vol. III 344, ] All are very interesting. I believe they
are said to relate to the secrets of esotericism and occultism.
Precise information as to use is not given, apparently because of the
danger of misuse.

Also I recall in ISIS UNVEILED some instances are given where sound
and light correlations are noticed, and some persons are more keenly
aware of this. [ see I U I 275, 514, II 605-6, 409, 592, 624fn, ]

In regard to words, this implies the focusing of the mind on some goal
or objective to be achieved. It is said that the vast stones used in
cyclopean structure of antiquity were levitated by the use of sounds
and words. Some references to this in I U are I 445,
II 43-3, 370-1, 393, 470-1, ]

Separately I will send you some quotations on this important subject.

Best wishes,

Dallas

Precipitation,

Colours and sound, I think they mix-- once or twice while I'd been
resting quietly, a sudden loud noise produced a bolt of light in my
mind's eye; my eyes were shut. It was only nanoseconds of colour that
appeared I am sure, but I did notice thereafter. If I am totally
relaxed, noises seem to yield a sort of visual effect, under the right
circumstances...

A tangent of a question -- How much can listening to certain types of
music elevate or interfere with one's building the right faculties, or
'learning to play'?

How about why Master M was not so keen about writing out letters? The
blue and red hues varied with intended intensity in each word,
perhaps?
Like we would use a highlighter pen in a textbook to have certain
information stand out from the other text...
