Re ISIS UNVEILED

Dear Carl:

Unless I misunderstand, you say that ISIS UNVEILED is a
debate with "bogus religion ?"

As far as my reading goes it makes sense, and I have spent a
few years comparing its statements with many texts at the
"royal Asiatic Library" in Bombay -- which is extensive.
The distortions made by dogmatists and interested
priesthoods standout plainly.

It is the same with THEOSOPHY of H P B and what followed
which is called NEO-THEOSOPHY.

"Neo-Theosophy which arose after H P B's death [ see
Margaret Thomas' Monograph, with comparative tables and
quotes, titled: THEOSOPHY OR NEO-THEOSOPHY ] made many
changes and volte-face statements that contradict what H P B
taught. Students ought to be well aware of these.. They
can be checked out by any one who wishes.

Best wishes,

Dallas.

Gopi,

I have heard your point of view, but I suggest that you read
ISIS and
note carefully what kind of writing it is. It is a debate
with bogus
religion and pseudo-science from beginning to end. The
position that
you suggest is not that of HPB certainly, but rather of
neo-theosophy
and new age teachers. That is fine, and I have no objection
to holding
such a position as long as we recognize it for what it is.

I wonder if some people in 1877 did not criticize Blavatsky
for being
argumentative in the same way you criticize today.

Carl
