Dear Gopi:

Actually it is the Lower Mind (Kama-Manas) which is the
medium through which the ONCE CONSCIOUSNESS acts on this
plane that seems to divide itself into two parts: a
"Higher" and a "Lower." Between the LOWER MANAS and the
HIGHER MANAS is the thread that connects them: antaskarana.

In our case, operating with the consciousness presently
active, it is the higher aspect of the Lower Manas that
tries to unite itself permanently with the HIGHER MANAS. As
this becomes more successful the Lower aspect of the Lower
Manas is purified, and purged of all selfishness and vice.

I may be somewhat inaccurate in expressing this, but I think
using theosophy as a guide, the concept is valid.

Best wishes,

Dallas.

Hi Dallas,

Your comment: "The Higher mind always sits in judgment over
the Lower
mind.
It is impossible not to."
I have learned a different thing from Theosophy:
The Higher Mind can Watch Lower Mind. The activity of
Judgement is purely
one of Lower Mind. Watching without Judgement is the
activity of Higher
Mind. If we allow the Higher Mind to act without the
interference from
the Lower Mind, then there is no Judgement. It is pure
happiness.

Gopi
