Re Science and Theosophy

Dear Larry:

I make no claims for myself. Only, when questions arise I
try to show how I arrived at some conclusion based on the
mass of information that can be found in various places in
the S D and other scattered articles and books.

It's the tracing that relies on some facts that our Science
does not yet find because it won't admit anything except the
PHYSICAL, and when challenged for CAUSES, they don't seem
enthusiastic about looking into that aspect.

Many time physical facts cannot be explained but only
observed.

This hiatus challenges investigative science to probe deeper
into the realms of force and energy. The plane of the Astral
is increasingly recognized but not identified for exact
perception or manipulation. Instrumentation, starting with
the physical is not yet devised.

Take electricity and magnetism, cold and heat, the
propagation of force using the electro-magnetic spectrum,
whereon all forces are seen to radiate and to vibrate. We
need a great deal more information as to the correlation of
these.

These gaps and theories are not to be hidden, but rather
exposed, so that many minds can work on securing information
and data that will eventually lead to their identification.

Puzzling artifacts and relicts ought not to be "hidden" to
"protect" theories that have been "generally accepted."
This is a grave error, because those same relicts and
artifacts will lead the astute and attentive inquirer to
find the solution to theory and hypothesis. If theosophy as
a synopsis of the HISTORY (S D I 267 top) of man's
research, and as kept by the adepts, is looked at carefully,
some of those gaps can be bridged. Science DOES MOT KNOW IT
ALL and further, it cannot be taken as pure or reliable.

There have been a long string of challenges to science which
have never been definitively answered: authors like Charles
Fort, Velikovsky, Von Danegan, H P B, J A West, Cremo and
Thomas, ought to have their data and challenges checked and
rechecked. To merely damn them and not give reasons is a
very poor defense of theories and hypotheses, even if they
are taught as facts -- which, they have no business to be .

Any one can go through this material in a couple of years,
(I mean read or skim it) but co-relating it may take longer
depending on how serious one is. I am still hard at it and
find it most interesting.

My college education has been in the Sciences and wit the
help of theosophy I have been able to see how their gaps may
be filled.

Best wishes,

Dallas

Doctrine

Dear Dallas

Thank you for the additional references to the 7 Keys. When
I mentioned
that I was still "puzzling" over your prior post, I didn't
mean to imply
that I was "puzzled" or "confused."
Rather, I was again alluding to the idea that the SD is
formatted as a
giant puzzle or sorts, each bit of information akin to a
piece of an
interlocking puzzle, with any one or few pieces only giving
vagur glimse
of the whole. It's only after we have "assembled" a major
portion of the
puzzle that the true "picture" begins to be revealed. Once
that major
task has been accomplished, the student then sees it all as
a whole, and
no longwer as little puzzle pieces.

This is also what I mean when I commend you for your lifes
work. Many of
us still "see" topics within the Theosophic pantheon. Some,
like you,
seem to have long passed that stage and see how everything
interconnects.
I believe this is why when you respond to a simple question,
you most
often end up mentioning most of the salient principles in
Theosophy.
Because they're all interconnected, and it's hard to write
about just one
without referencing so many others! Would that all of our
understandings
were at that level. Hopefully that's where we all are
headed.

Thanks again,

Larry
