re crossposting

Being a member of Theos-1, Theos Talk, Universal
Seekers, and the three BN lists, I sometimes wonder about
crossposting. Lately, having found some interesting posts
on US that, I feel, might get some interesting responses
from someone on Theos-1, I've been following rules (well
enough, I'm hoping) by "uncrossing" some of my posts on
Theos-1.: It's a technique by which I feel that I can
respond well enough to a different list by "uncrossing," or
eliminating and replacing, the "list specific" quotes of
others, with: "<<. . .>>", except for a few words here and
there. I find that the result tends to make for an
interesting variation on a theme. Of course that's just my
tentative/speculative opinion, though. But, basically, I
tend to agree with Dallas about crossposting.

And I feel that we can all easily enough check out the
other lists on which whatever apparent original post
appeared, especially if that information is supplied by the
postee. And if we don't want to get hundreds of emails,
we can, of course, check out the emails on the lists's
websites, can't we? And surely we can all treat, write
about, many discussions, themes "more
centrally/universally," so that, if desired, our posts are,
obviously enough, not too specific to any particular list,
but are, instead, "more specific" about the subjects
themselves. For example, let's say that a theoretical Tom
said "No," and that I felt "Yes," then I might "uncross"
Tom by addressing the issue, itself, as I see it, if I feel, for
whatever reason, that a person/s on another list might
have something interesting/relevant to say about that
subject; or I might mention that a so-and-so on another
(specified) list brought up a particular issue, (at which
point I might describe that issue mainly in my own
words), and I might then go on to write about something
that "originally" came up on/in some other list, book,
lecture, magazine, Theosophy group, conversation on the
street, or wherever.

Speculatively,
Mauri
