RE: "Re: Aurobindo on Theosophy"

Dear Brian,

For crying out loud, READ Aurobindo's sentence! He's talking about the
THEOSOPHISTS of his time! He says "THEIR" throughout the quotation that YOU
introduced. Can't you see the distinction between any PHILOSOPHY and its
ADHERENTS? Between an IDEAL and the PEOPLE who try to make it come alive?
Aurobindo may or may not have written elsewhere against Theosophy, but it's
certainly NOT in this quotation.

Best Regards,
Wes

This is in reply to Brian, who wrote:

<I'm not shure if Aurobindo would agree with you. He wrote following:

<Their romanticism, their unbridled imagination, their galloping
<impatience, their haste, bragging and loudness, their susceptibility
<to dupery, trickery, obstinate error and greedy self-deception,
<Theosophists have strengthened doubt and discredit and
<driven many an earnest seeker to bewilderment, to angry suspicion or
<to final renunciation of the search for truth.>
