Martin,
Yes Dunlap's books were difficult to locate. My request for a book
search of the LA
Library expanded systematically to include the resources in California,
then the
bordering states. It was not until they queried Brown University that
it was found.

When the LA Library locates the book they phone you and ask if you
wish it sent.
The book is sent and signed to you for 10 days if I recall correctly.
You pay the insurance and return postage I seem to recall.

I today no longer have the copy of "Sod" I purchased at Cherokee Rare
Books
in Hollywood (you were there with me one day) but still have a photocopy
of
Dunlaps "Vestiges of the Spirit History of Man," 1858, New York, D.
Appleton & C0. It has longhand inscription "Presented by Reuben A Guild
Librarian, Brown
University April 22, 1884."

One work that traces the syncretic history of the "Savior" is by Kersey
Graves,
"The Worlds Sixteen Crucified Saviors" 1879, BOSTON, COLBY & RICH
PUBLISHERS

Another unique work is that of Vincent A Fitz Simon; "The Christ of
Promise in
Homer.Hesiod,Vergil,Ovid,Horace Etc." 1909 Press of J. J. Little & Ives
Co., N.Y.
(this work is intensive cypher substitution of the characters of the
title Authors
script of their times)

I also seem to recall HPB mentioned the works of Godfrey Higgins,Esq. of
note his
"Anacalypsis an Attempt To Draw Aside the Veil of The Saitic Isis" 2
vol. 1836, as
well as his "Celtic Druids." This is republished by Health Research.

they will send a catalogue on request.
