Frank, sadly I have come to the conclusion that with PC the mention
of race anything, in this country anyway, is considered racism. Yes,
pure and simple anything to do with race is considered racism, no
matter how innocuous the statement.

Now, when it comes to the average interactions I have with people,
strangers, I find there is no need for them to remind me that I am
not white. So in that sense people are sensitive. But my thing is
mostly limited to public interactions with strangers and people I do
not know well. For them to inject the element of race in our dealings
then becomes an issue to me. That is my definition of racism. And I
usually remind them that they are being a bit prejudiced. But as far
as discussing it and seeing the truths of it, with people I trust, I
will talk about it until the cows come home.

The above happens to me a lot because my life and contacts have
always been multiracial and multi-ethnic everywhere I go. I do not
live in a segregated world by any means. But some people do.
