Off the top of my head, this term "elder Brothers" doesn't appear to 
be used by either Blavatsky or the Mahatmas. Furthermore, I can't 
find it in an initial search of the original literature. 

If you have an exact reference from Blavatsky or the Mahatmas that I 
have overlooked, please let me know and then I will comment on it.

I believe the term is used by Judge and also by Besant and 
Leadbeater. Maybe Gregory Tillett's biography of Leadbeater comments 
on this term.
