Oldescott,
Speaking of enchanting music... We will be doing the same jam for John Lennon
on Sunday, Dec 12th -- If the weather isn't cold enough to freeze our fingers
off. (But, then, I can play my Versitar with my gloves on -- so in that case,
at least the drummer and I, along with the voices, can have a go at it. :-)

Incidentally, the Versitar is not a Sitar. It's a one of a kind, fretless,
three stringed instrument made on a beautiful cherry wood walking stick I
sculpted about 20 years ago, and later strung -- that plays like a sitar, but
can sound like either a sitar, or oto, vina, guitar, banjo, mandolin,
ukulele, violin, cello, etc. depending on how you pluck, strum or bow it
while bending the strings in infinite polyphonic chord combinations over
about a four octave range. Since it's fully electrified, it can also be put
through an effects box that can change it's timbre from a smooth classical
sound to a high sustain and reverb "Hendrix" style fuzz box, and everything
in-between. It also plays wonderful percussion effects, like wood block
finger nail dancing and live skin drum rhythm patterns. To find out more
about it, how I've used it, and the plans I have for it, check the web site
at:
http://members.aol.com/versitar/musicane/.

As for music or sound being the basis of all phenomena in the universe, check
out my ABC theory and the coenergetic holistic "music of the Spheres" field
concepts and diagrams that back it up -- which are consistent with the 3-
Fundamental Principles of theosophy, and particularly, the 2nd Principle that
speaks of cycles, periodicity and repeated births, transformations, and
rebirths.

In contrast to Alice Bailey's scripturally oriented "Personal God with a
Voice" point of view... While picturing my chakrafield diagram, I like to
think of "God" or the primal "Force" (using the infinite interference
patterned information contained in its primal "spinergy") -- as playing all
the triple "superstrings" of substance/energy that make up the descending
octaves of involved hyperspace coenergetic fields -- to recreate on each
bubble within bubble within bubble. etc., all the truth and beauty of the
Cosmos. I also see this as an impersonal and lawful process of
"imagination," "harmony," "resonance," and "reflection" that is analogous to
and engendering of the imagination, induction, harmony, and reflective
resonance of the electrical (light) and sound fields on our mental/physical
planes -- out of which we create, from the seven fundamental sounds and
colors, all our beautiful music and art, such as that of John Lennon, George
Harrison, and all the others of like mind and heart who observe the world
from the same point of view.

Warm regards,
Lenny Maurer
