Dallas suggests

Then politics may be handled separately -- unless there is a
Theosophical base, the opinions of various writers remain baseless
opinions with little or no spiritual verity emergent.

They are the ephemera of the moment -- at best, a rehash of the
failures of previous attempt to establish in a materialistic setup --
a haven, or refuge of peace goodwill and quiet.

And that not being successful, attempts to blame one or another serve
no useful purpose that I can see. They just add to the general
acrimony, or, they try to apologise for obvious errors of moral and
ethical failures and unbrotherliness.

They also indicate (to me) a failure to perceive what the root of the
trouble is. How would Theosophy look at this impersonally and
dispassionately, and for the good of all -- not just the few ?

It is those failures that deserve identification, and the implacable
hand of verity, truth and fairness ought to be made to appear.

In the final balancing of Karma will these utterances and time be
looked on as creative and beneficial to mankind or the reverse ?

Have the poor, the ignorant and the dispossessed been protected?

Take a perspective: What did they (the political views and platforms)
count for 2 years ago? In 20 years who will pay any attention to them
in retrospect? But we are discussing surface matters. If we are going
to delve into these Theosophically, what, then, are the roots of the
problem ? If a Theosophist had "power" then how would the matter be
solved?

In the Spiritual Life, have they any place? If the personal life is
process of continual consideration and decision making, what is there
of PERMANENT value in those ?

-- but this is not the purpose as I understand was originally intended
from Blavatsky Net is it ?

Best wishes,

Dallas

In other words: can we de-politicize this, and discover if possible
what the ideals ought to be. Now that would be a transformation of
the forces of contention into harmony, would it not ?

Subject: Theos-World politics on this site

I agree with Dallas and others that this site is turning into a
political
forum vs its intent as a theosophical forum, but I also agree with
Bart
that if posters spread what is perceived as untruth, than others have
the
obligation to counter such. I also agree with Leon that political
"truth" is essentially in the eye of the beholder, but there are
certain
things that either happened or didn't, and the record needs be set
straight or at least balanced. Just my opinion.
