Dear Steve:

It would help if the page references could be given, as my memory and
a reference to the Index did not show what you said was there in the
KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB) .

There is no question that the Buddha taught what is today called
"Theosophy." In his era He passé on to others what He knew of it, and
we, his successors in time have to depend on the accuracy of documents
to read what He said then. Wisdom is the same whether Krishna, Buddha,
Jesus, Pythagoras, H P B, or Lao Tzu enunciated it.

However the best of proofs in the cohesive logic of the philosophy
which, (in my opinion) in the passage of time, shows no deviation
from the union of pure logic with ethical actions.

Help, help

Dallas

There is a statement in THE KEY TO THEOSOPHY that
northern Buddhism contains all that is Thesosophy.
There are also allusions in the SD to THE LANKAVATARA
SUTRA which no one who has not read that book would
catch, since it is not mentinned by name. So an
interesting question arises whether the synthetic
presentation given to the world in the SD is the same
as the way the matter is taught to insiders.
