During the 50s, during the atomic tests on the ground, in USA (I think this
was Nevada desert), the US army placed American soldiers not far from the
explosions, unprotected, not in a bombshelters, in the open. I saw this in
our educational t.v. interviewing the G.I.s, who new nothing about radiation
and exposure to nuclear fall-out. The scientists new it well, they
presumably wanted to know how a soldier can survive in a field stricken by
atomic blast. I cannot recall the name of the movie, it was a documentary.
With the real people. As per all these happy wars, since I spent many years
in the Israeli army since 1966, participated in many wars and have seen many
horrors, I have never seen anything of mass destruction capabilities, we
never had in battle machines to produce gas, like machines that we captured
from the Egyptians in Sinai during 1967 war. I saw these machines. They used
it in Yemen during the 60s, on Arabs. Israel is the only country in the
world that its neighbors sworn to destroy it. They started this war of
extermination against the Jews already 80 years ago, influenced by the
Moslem Brotherhood, which was created in Egypt during the 1920s, with the
mission to convert the world by force to Islam. It is not a land conflict in
Israel, it is a clash between civilization. Land and border issues can be
solved easily. But they wouldn't. Israel is dealing with Islamic terror for
more than 80 years, and the world simply doesn't understand it. Israel is
not a nation of saints, sadly so, but I don't see any other nation-saint in
the rest of the world. Israel was created not because the Jews wanted it so
much, but it was due to the horrendous persecutions in Europe during the
19th century. They simply didn't have any other choice.
