The Formation of the Human Soul

Hi. Etzion. I am not criticizing this message or the previous one, in any
way, but would like to use this situation to bring home a point about what I
have called "the wolf and the sheep." The nature of samsaric existence is
suffering. This was what I was taught in my Buddhist teachings, but it has
been very hard to understand. It is very hard to keep "this" and "that"
opposed to each other within oneself in such a way that a certain force is
contained and not leaked or lost by mechanically opposing my own subjective
"this" or "that" to someone else's "that" or "this" on the outside (life).
In regular life, people go about their business, always as a movement away
from pain toward pleasure, and the suffering is subliminal until two
people's movements (in an attempt to create individual pleasurable
circumstances) conflict, and raw pain comes to the surface. When a person
uses patience, he can not only cleanse karmic residue by his CONSCIOUS
suffering, but also build up kind of force for himself which can also be
used for the good of others. This is merit.

But in a situation like this, I believe it is important to do what you are
doing, because this is a learning situation, where many can benefit. There
is always one thing to weigh against another. It is a matter of
discrimination. I would like to think that this email list is not exactly
the same as regular life. If it is the same as regular life, there would be
no reason to participate here.

Netamara, I would like to suggest that you have a hidden agenda, which I
believe you are at least dimly aware of. It is that you cannot feel a
certain way about yourself unless you feel a certain way about others, which
is the opposite of how you feel about yourself. In order to sustain this
fantasy you need to ignore a lot of details and hook things up in certain
ways that are not logically sustainable. Even "God" cannot hook things up in
this way.

When you find the evil of others to be in yourself, then you will be able to
CONSCIOUSLY oppose "this" to "that" in a such a way that certain sacred and
precious materials can be gleaned from your environment that can be used for
making a sort of nest for your physical self in relationship to the external
environment, which includes the light of the sun reaching you. I will try to
do the same, so that the potential seed or little beginning of my "soul" can
receive the food it needs, and I can grow up. In order to accomplish this,
something that is impartial and has no opinion will need to focus on myself
as I am, rather than looking so much to the outside world. If we are not
able to approach material in this way, we will never be able to claim our
birthright as creatures walking upright on the earth, which is to be fully
creative, within the limitations that exist, and in doing so, transcend, in
the form of a body, these limitations. (This means, for example, if I am
lighter, I can have flight, but I cannot physically fly, because I am always
connected to the earth by my body.) This could be looked at as resolving
inner contradiction by relating to the outside world in such a way that the
two, or the cross of these contradictions within me, is combined with a
three, which represents the third force, to create a five, (in that a third
force enters me, in such a way that I AM one or three in one, but the two
still exists on this plane). This silver of this inner five is then
presented to the external world as a unity or I, which then makes a perfect
six, which is represented by two intersecting trinities, one going up and
one going down, something coming from heaven down to earth and going up from
earth to heaven. (And again this process repeats itself, a unity connecting
to the six to make a seven, and finally is resolved in the eight of the next
octave.) This is very simplified, but, Netamara, I am giving you these
numbers to chew on instead of the "Jews." In this way you will not be
chewing up yourself, but may receive something that can sustain you.
Sincerely, Wry

Please remember, we all have started at the same place. There is no way out
of this mess except to see oneself in present time AS ONE IS. This will set
everything straight. Sincerely, Wry
