I think it is more of a matter of individuals.

I consider the anti-Alice Bailey feeling to be a bit overblown. However, there is an element in the Arcane School (and NOT present in the majority of the members I have met) that believes that they are the One True Successor(tm) to the Theosophical movement, and therefore that all Theosophists should join the Arcane School.

Frankly, I consider the Arcane School to be a religious offshoot of the Theosophical Society rather than a replacement organization, and therefore have no more or less problem with it than I do with, say, the Liberal Catholic Church or the Esoteric Section. Members of the two latter groups, of course, might have a problem indeed.
